Dr Panos Chatzipanos is the President of Green Athens S.A. a government agency responsible for the management of the Athens Metropolitan Green. He is a Civil – Environmental Engineer who holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Hydrodynamics from London University. He is a resourceful and diverse revenue producer with considerable engineering knowledge, large construction experience and substantial managerial competencies that span more than 42 years in the construction industry, with about 20 years at the executive level. Panos is also, a senior consultant at the World Bank and a consultant at the EU Parliament. He is also a shareholder of TECHNERGA S.A., a company involved with infrastructure construction projects in Greece, and is a principal at PMOAdvisory, Inc. NJ, USA.
He has been a core committee member for writing three Project Management Institute Standards namely, The Standard for Portfolio Management, The Standard for Earned Value Management and Navigating Complexity: A Practice Guide and was a significant contributor to the Construction Extension of the PMBoK. Additionally, he has been a PMI appointed SME Reviewer for another five PMI Standards. He is the Co-Editor and Co-Author of the book “Implementing Portfolio Management” published by PMI. He is also a member of the Global ISO Technical Committee (TC258) which produces the ISO series of Standards for Project Management. He is a founding member of the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers and a Diplomate of the Academy (D.WRE). He is a charted environmental project manager from CIWEM. He is the Region 10 Governor of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) responsible for Europe and the President of ASCE, Hellenic Section. He is also the President of EFEK and a past President of PMI-Greece.
